Welcome to the BICYCLE SPECIALTIES web site. My name is Matt Houle (pronounced: Hool), I run the place. If you are looking for a custom designed, handbuilt bicycle, made from some of the finest steel tubing available, by someone who actually cares that you get what you want, then you have picked a good place to shop.
One thing that you will notice, as you peruse this web site, is that I haven't included much in the way of over indulging self-promotion, or hype. It's not that I don't think that I build excellent frames, but let's be serious here for a moment, I'm not arrogant enough to think that I'm the best frame builder in the world. What I do believe, however, is that I can build you a bike that will make you happy, and I can give you the kind of service that will make the whole experience enjoyable. Another thing that you won't find here, is me trying to push all the latest, greatest gadgets that the magazines tell you that you need. There won't be anything on this site that will require you to download some program just to view. What you will find, is me, saying things the way I would if you were my friend, instead of trying to fill you full of marketing mumbo jumbo. So, if you want hype, slick marketing, over inflated egos, all the latest techno junk, or bad service, keep surfing. On the other hand, if you want a truly custom bike and excellent one on one service, you have come to the right place. Beginning with the personal fit, on thru the design process, the paint job, all the way to component selection, I believe in doing my best to give you, the customer, what you want. That means that I pay attention to what you say, do my best to answer your questions, and help figure out what will work best for you. This is also a good place to be if you would rather fix or modify the frame that you already have. I can perform just about any kind of repair or modification that you could need or want on your steel frame. One last thing. As you visit my web site, please keep in mind that it is a work in progress. I am my own web master, and I'm new at designing web sites.
