Alignment Fixture

This is one of my favorite fixtures. I designed this based on a fixture that I designed for Vision Recumbents. The one I made for them was originally designed for recumbent frames but later modified to also be used for traditional style frames. This one was designed for “normal” bikes only, although I also added a fork alignment table. Anyone who has seen a typical alignment table, will notice that there isn’t much of a surface plate here. In fact, my “surface plate” is all of 6”x6”. This is because I don’t need much of one. Instead of using a height gauge or dial indicator like most builders, I use a laser level and ruler. This allows me to take up a lot less space in my shop. Missing from this album are photos of a fork being aligned. I will add those as soon as I remember to take some.
